Something I have noticed over twenty years: when there is genuine alignment between a couple and a photographer, the creative possibilities expand naturally. Wedding photographs are permanent. They will be seen by your children, your grandchildren, the people you love. Getting this choice wrong cannot be undone. When I tell a couple that I don’t think we are the right fit for each other, I do it to protect their most precious memory — not for my own convenience. A photographer who works without genuine alignment produces technically acceptable images. But not the images those people deserve.
